Table Tennis Scotland is currently looking for performance coaches to work alongside our junior/cadet/minor national squads (Boys & Girls). Coaches must be UKCC accredited or working towards such a qualification.

Coaches will be expected to work throughout the season with squads and attend competitions as non playing captains. Click for full information and how to express interest.

Following a board meeting, held at Caledonia House on Thursday 15th December 2011, TTS is pleased to announce 2 new board members. We are delighted to welcome Stewart McGowan as interim Vice Chairperson and Billy Gibbs as Interim Director of Development. Both Stewart and Billy are vastly experienced and will strengthen the board. Phil McCallum will take over the roll of  Interim Director of Performance and Excellence.

TTS is pleased also to welcome Alistair McCall, the new Executive Support Officer, who joins us from the Institute of Sport, and the board look forward to working with him.

On behalf of the board of Table Tennis Scotland I would like to wish our members and partners a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Performance Coach Required for Glasgow 2014 PDF Print E-mail

The Sportscotland Institute of Sport are working with Table Tennis Scotland to recruit a World Class table tennis Performance Coach to train Scottish players in their preparations to compete successfully at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. The coach will be based in Edinburgh and deliver day to day coaching & training to key players as well as provide coaching to them at competitions around the world as they prepare for the Games.

The deadline for Applications is 21st January and the Start Date is Immediately.

Niall Cameron, who funded his own participation, enjoyed a good performance at the recent Finland Open in Helsinki from the 8th to 11th of December. 
Victories over the New Zealand number 2, John Cordue (4 – 1), Finnish international Toni Soine (4 – 3) and Arnoldas Domeika from Lithuania (4 – 2) ensured a credible top half finish.  The singles event was won by Jon Persson of Sweden.  Read full report and results from  ITTF website.
