Welcome to the pages of Table Tennis Scotland. Here you can find information about our players, events and competitions, and opportunities to play table tennis.

The Level 2 qualification builds on the planning and evaluation skills learnt at Level 1, and involves a more advanced level of technical knowledge. At this level, coaches would be expected to demonstrate more of an ability to analyse and improve the performance of their players.

The course is over 2 weekends with time to log coaching hours between. The cost of the course is £270 and hopefully TTS will have Individual Learning Account status which will cover up to £200, or club coaches will be able to get Regional Grants or Club Funding.

The course is divided into 3 sections:  1 Technical, 2 Practical coaching sessions, 3 Theory

1 Technical
The course expands on the knowledge from UKCC 1, and includes varying direction, advanced spin, lobs, smashes, advanced service, advanced footwork.

2 Practical Coaching Sessions
Coaches to prepare 6 coaching lesson plans and evaluations, and 2 individual plans with progression.

3 Theory
Fitness, health and safety, psychology, physiology, covered by work book, or lectures.
