In the play off matches in the second division Scotland men beat Venezuela 3/2, but lost to Norway 1/3 and Bosnia Herzekovina 2/3. In their final match they lost to Canada, so finished in 44th position.  In the fourth division, the ladies lost to Norway 0/3, beat Tajikistan 3/0, and Kosovo 3/0 in their final match to take 77 position.
