After another successful year for UKCC Level 1 coaching courses, Table Tennis Scotland is delighted to announce dates for the upcoming season. UKCC Level 1 Coaching Course qualifies candidates to deliver coaching activities, assisting other more qualified coaches and normally under direct supervision.

For players with basic skills who are keen to coach beginners, this course is ideal.

Paul Jackson hopes that TTS will be able to get Individual Learning Account status later this year (this will allow candidates who earn under £10,000 to get £200 towards their costs) and that the standard of coaching and play will improve with the new UKCC courses.

An exciting new award is now available in Scotland for adults over 16 with basic bat and ball skills wishing to coach table tennis to complete beginners. UKCC Introduction to Coaching (Table Tennis).

TTS also offer an in-house Introduction to Table Tennis Course, which is geared towards grass-roots coaches, particularly teachers wishing to coach pupils. This is a six hour course followed by a written assessment, which may be accredited towards the UKCC level 1 qualification. Contact our office to learn more.

Most table tennis clubs across Scotland offer coaching to players of various levels. In the first instance, contact a club near you to find out what is available. We can also be contacted to advise on the availability of one-to-one coaching.
